Breaking Bad: Jesse's Transformation

Walter White’s counterpart, Jesse Pinkman has also undergone a massive transformation. In the beginning of the story, Jesse is nothing more then junkie just barley staying out of prison. Its not until he begins to cook crystal meth with Walter, which he starts to undergo his transformation into a much better person. Through Walter, Jesse is able to learn patience, proper morals and advanced chemistry – three things that Jesse was never able to grasp before. Prior to the numerous endeavors that Walter and Jesse took on, Walter saw Jesse as nothing more then a ticket into a market he couldn’t step into. Having gone through so much, Jesse developed a strong relationship with Walter, which allowed him to prove himself as an equal and not just a student. Through the series Jesse struggles with the fact that Walter didn’t consider him equal and he strived to prove to Walter he was. Walter constantly bashes Jesse, forcing him to “apply himself”. Jesse battles more problems with Walter through the series which at first ended with fist fights and rocks being thrown through car windshields, however in season 5 the tables are completely turned when Jesse refuses to continue cooking crystal meth. During this fight, Jesse does not attempt to retaliate to Walter as he unleashes an onslaught of insults at him. Walter states that Jesse has nothing in his life and how he as no one. Jesse, who has transformed into a better person, does nothing to Walter except ignore his vicious verbal attacks and calmly walks away. Furthermore, at this very moment Jesse proves that he won’t be seduced by desire and greed anymore and he realizes what they are doing is wrong.  That moment was Jesses defining moment, it shows the man he has evolved into and how he is no longer the quick tempered, problematic child he once was. Ultimately through his hardships, Jesse has made a massive transformation from a delinquent to a family man.

Breaking Bad - Walter's Transformation (Spoiler Alert)

The hit TV show "Breaking Bad" has ignited a fury, a fury that would land the show over 11 Emmy awards. Walter White, played by Bryan Cranston is a over qualified high school chemistry teacher who was diagnosed with lung cancer. As a result he is forced to manufacture methamphetamine to secure a stable future for his family. Walter White under goes a massive transformation through his journey from Bill Nye to Scarface, tainting his soul every step. The shows creator is beyond brilliant, leaving foreshadowing and hints in almost every episode, most notably in the first episode when Walter is defining chemistry as:

"You see, technically, chemistry ... It is growth, then decay, then transformation." - Walter White, E101

That last sentence defines Walters journey. At the start he is a sensitive, passive, generally-good guy but as his character develops he falls into a dark places, burning himself as he tumbles. A perfect illustration of Walter's soul is his car. Each defining moment in the show is directly reflected upon his car, each time he damages his soul, his car is damaged too. The first example is when he kills the two dealers that killed Combo (one of his dealers) , his car is dented. When Jane dies as a result of him refusing to aid her - an airplane part lands and shatters his wind shield. When he back-stabs Jesse, Jesse shatters his wind shield again. When he breaks Jesse trust by brining Hank to the hidden lab, his car is smashed in an accident. Finally, in season five, he sells his car for only $50 - which can be seen as selling his soul. Walter has undergone a massive transformation, and only the second half of season five can tell what will happen to him.

Delissio Pizza

As the lazy person that I am, I buy lots of frozen and quick foods I can make with little to no effort at all. One of my favorite foods is pizza,so naturally I'm attracted to frozen pizzas. With a trip to the grocery store, or 7/11 - you can pick up a frozen pizza for as little as $10. In my house, at least one frozen pizza is consumed every two weeks. With this much pizza I've test quite a few which puts me in a really good postion to comment on the quality and convince of many of the "heavy hitters" in the frozen pizza industry. Almost all the way across the board most of the pizzas taste the same, except for horrendously sad excuse of a pizza. Delissio Pizza, hands down makes the worst frozen pizzas ever, and have absolutely no business in the frozen pizza industry.

What makes Delissio Pizzas so bad isn't just their taste or their propaganda of "It's not delivery, it's Delissio" its the actual quality of the pizza. The pizza comes flash frozen in a cheap cardboard box which displays a beautiful, golden, mouth-watering pizza being pulled out of a family over. The box is just a cloak for the disgusting monstrosity that hides inside of it. People who are brave enough to enter the box and actually attempt to cook the pizza will be met with a terrible fate. Upon cooking one of these frozen abominations will not only destroy their hopes, but cause a cataclysmic chain of events inside their ovens that will end with hours of cleaning inside the oven. As the pizzas cook in the oven, they slowly decompose and fall through oven racks leaving burnt gooey cheese stuck to the oven rack. Multiple times this has happened to me with Delissio Pizza and I'm fed up with their sub-par and inferior disgrace they call a frozen pizza.
